Knoxville, TN – Innovasan announces two new prototype development programs based on advanced technology studies and multinational patent portfolio expansion within its Interceptor Waste Treatment System® Research Program.

The additional prototype programs include the Gauntlet™ and Guardian™ product families for the treatment and recovery of contaminated water and the treatment of organic compounds found in industrial waste streams.

“The Interceptor Waste Treatment System® Research Program has led us beyond our founding focus on developing an energy efficient, cost effective treatment system for fluid medical waste streams to developing patent pending technology solutions for treating contaminated water and other industrial waste streams in addition to fluid medical waste,” said Jeff Hubrig, Executive Vice President of Innovasan.

Gauntlet™, originally conceived as a treatment system for biological infectives, has become a technology solution for the treatment and recovery of contaminated water for drinking and alternative uses. The company has a number of models under development and says the Gauntlet™ product family can be built to meet the design requirements of any industry or community with the need for safe, clean drinking water or the need to disinfect biological waste streams.

Guardian™, originally conceived as a treatment system for pharmaceutical compounds has been adapted to treat other organic compounds found in a variety of industrial fluid waste streams. It features the same number of customizable design parameters as the Gauntlet™ product family.
