Knoxville, TN – Selected as a semi-finalist in the 2015 Clean Tech Open Nationwide Accelerator program Innovasan has been preparing for the upcoming regional finals on October 7-8 in Atlanta since spring. The pitch competition will judge the semifinalist companies based on extensive diligence and analysis of their business models in addition to their final pitches on October 7. Each company competing in the southeast region has spent four months working on a series of in-depth worksheets explaining the intricacies of their business models.

Two companies will be selected as winners from the southeast. There will be one “overall” winner and one “sustainability” winner. The winners will receive prizes including cash and services totaling more than $20,000. They will also be sent with winners from other regions of the country to pitch to investors at the Global Forum in San Francisco on November 19. In addition to outside investment the national finalists at the Global Forum are eligible to win up to $100,000 in cash and services along with significant media recognition.

“The Cleantech Open has been a great experience for our company and provided a lot of value in everything from fine tuning aspects of our commercial launch and marketing plans to fundraising strategy and pitch optimization. We’re looking forward to applying the lessons learned at regional finals and beyond,” said co-founder Jeff Hubrig Jr.
