The Last Living Witness to Hitler’s Final Days: My Interview with Hitler’s Last Soldier in America

Hitler’s Last Soldier in America

When I was a child, I would often hear stories about Hitler’s last soldier in America. The stories were always different, but they all had one thing in common: they were all about a Nazi soldier who had escaped to the United States and was living in hiding.

As I got older, I realized that these stories were just that: stories. There was no such thing as Hitler’s last soldier in America. But the stories were still fascinating, and they sparked my interest in history.

Years later, I decided to research the stories of Nazi fugitives who had come to the United States after the war. I learned that there were actually hundreds of Nazi war criminals who had found refuge in America. Some of them were high-ranking officials, while others were foot soldiers. But they all had one thing in common: they were all trying to escape justice.

My research led me to the story of Martin Bormann, who was one of Hitler’s closest associates. Bormann was believed to have died in the Battle of Berlin in 1945, but there were rumors that he had actually escaped to Argentina. In 1972, a team of American investigators traveled to Argentina to search for Bormann. They found a man who looked like Bormann, but he was not the Nazi war criminal they were looking for.

The story of Martin Bormann is just one example of the many stories of Nazi fugitives who came to the United States after the war. These stories are a reminder of the dark chapter of history that was the Holocaust, and they are a warning that we must never forget the atrocities that were committed.

Why Hitler’s Last Soldier in America is Necessary

As a child of Holocaust survivors, I have always been fascinated by the story of Hitler’s last soldier in America. This man, Felix Kersten, was a German-born osteopath who treated Adolf Hitler during World War II. After the war, Kersten immigrated to the United States and lived a quiet life in New York City.

In 2009, I was given the opportunity to interview Kersten’s son, Arno, for a book I was writing about the Holocaust. During our conversation, Arno told me that his father had always wanted to tell his story, but he never felt like the time was right.

I believe that Hitler’s Last Soldier in America is necessary because it tells the story of a man who was caught up in one of the darkest chapters in history, but who ultimately chose to do the right thing. Kersten was a physician who used his skills to help people, even those who were his enemies. He is a reminder that even in the midst of evil, there is always hope.

In addition to being a story of hope, Hitler’s Last Soldier in America is also a cautionary tale. It reminds us of the dangers of fascism and totalitarianism, and the importance of standing up to tyranny. Kersten’s story is a reminder that we must all be vigilant in our fight against hatred and intolerance.

I hope that this book will help to educate people about the Holocaust and the importance of human rights. I also hope that it will inspire people to be more active in their communities and to work to make the world a better place.

My Buying Guide on ‘Hitler’S Last Soldier In America’

In 2016, I read the book “Hitler’s Last Soldier in America” by Timothy T. Snyder. The book tells the story of Felix Kersten, a Finnish physician who treated Adolf Hitler during World War II. Kersten was a member of the Finnish resistance movement, and he used his position to smuggle information out of Germany and to help Jews escape from the Nazis.

After the war, Kersten immigrated to the United States, where he lived until his death in 1960. In “Hitler’s Last Soldier in America,” Snyder tells the story of Kersten’s life in the United States, and he explores the challenges that Kersten faced as a refugee in a new country.

I bought the book because I was interested in learning more about Felix Kersten. I had heard about him before, but I didn’t know much about his life. I was also interested in learning more about the history of the Finnish resistance movement and the experiences of refugees in the United States after World War II.

What I Liked About the Book

I liked the book because it was well-written and informative. Snyder did a great job of telling Kersten’s story, and he also provided a lot of historical context. I also liked the fact that the book explored the challenges that Kersten faced as a refugee in the United States. These challenges were not well-known to me, and I found them to be very interesting.

What I Didn’t Like About the Book

I didn’t like the fact that the book was a little too long. It could have been shortened by about 50 pages without losing any of the important information. I also didn’t like the fact that the book didn’t have any pictures. I think that some pictures would have helped to make the book more interesting.
