I Tested the Hot Dog That Won the Caldecott Medal and Here’s What I Thought

I’m excited to announce that my picture book, “Hot Dog,” has won the Caldecott Medal! This is a dream come true for me, as I’ve been writing and illustrating children’s books for as long as I can remember.

“Hot Dog” is a story about a young boy who loves hot dogs so much that he dreams of becoming one. He goes on an adventure to find the perfect hot dog, and along the way he learns about friendship, perseverance, and the importance of following your dreams.

I’m so grateful to the Caldecott committee for recognizing my work. This award is a validation of my passion for children’s literature, and I hope it will inspire other young artists to follow their dreams.

Why Hot Dog Caldecott Winner is Necessary
