As a long-time fan of the Super Smash Bros. series, I was thrilled when Cloud Strife was announced as a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Cloud is one of my favorite Final Fantasy characters, and I was excited to finally be able to play as him in a fighting game. However, I was disappointed to learn that Cloud was only available as a DLC character, and that I would need to purchase an amiibo figure in order to unlock him.
I understand that Nintendo makes money from the sale of amiibo figures, but I believe that Cloud should have been included as a standard character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Cloud is one of the most iconic characters in video game history, and he is a fan favorite. It is only natural that he would be included in the game.
In addition, the fact that Cloud is only available as a DLC character means that he is locked out of certain features of the game. For example, Cloud cannot be used in the Classic Mode or in the World of Light campaign. This is a significant disadvantage, as Cloud is one of the strongest characters in the game.
